'Gay Sailor' Russian Sub Deterrent?

So I was going through the local news and then I saw this title "Swedish 'gay sailor' deployed to deter Russian subs" so like any naturally curious person I clicked the link. I found the article both funny and a little bit disturbing. So apparently a morse code system has been developed sending messages out to any Russian subs who find themselves lost in Swedish waters. The message on a neon sign with a sailor doing pelvic thrusts with underwear says, "Welcome to Sweden, Gay since 1944". While a morse code goes out saying  "This way if you are gay". In a statement, the Swedish Peace and Arbitration Society invited any foreign or Swedish submarine crew to join them at the Stockholm gay parade. Hopefully this helps people with their feelings about homophobia and what not but honestly this surprised me.
As always heres the link if you want to check out the story for yourself http://www.cnn.com/2015/05/14/europe/sweden-russia-gay-sailor-submarine/?iid=ob_article_footer_expansion&iref=obnetwork

Heart breaker, and Heart Saver.

This is about a dog named Hansa Rose, Hansa was originally used as a bait dog for an animal fighting ring. She had a belt tied around her neck twice and was rendered helpless as another dog 'practiced' fighting on the poor girl. She was rescued by Tink Bechtol once Tink picked up Hansa she noticed that the dog was in a much worse state then she originally thought. One eye was farther back then it should be and the other eye was in bad shape.

She had very few teeth and her jaw was crooked. After hours of surgery and hours upon hours of therapy Hansa went through it like a trooper after a year and eight months thing were looking up for this adorable pooch. She attended a all-girl school where she soon became an addiction for all of the students.

Finally the day came when an email from a woman named Cheryl about Hansa asking to adopt her. The staff at the shelter were nervous, after all they wanted to know if this home would be right for her.
After being adopted Cheryl says that they feel like they understand each other.

To be honest I nearly cried tears of joy after finishing the story (I came very close to it) heres the link to the story hope you enjoy it!

"Sugar? Yes please~"

Normally when you read that you think of the song "Sugar" by Adam Levine but not today. A sugar bomb was thrown at the Maroon 5 singer on May 7th. Reports say someone threw a paper bag with brown tape that exploded over the singer leaving him covered in white. Some of the sugar got in his ear while the assailant was tackled by security the name has not been released as of yet.

Heres the entire story down below as usual and sorry bout not putting the link in the last story, I was pressed for time:

Gone Fishing

A California fisherman was fishing with his wife one day when a sea lion (out of all the things to grab a fish from your hands) jumped out of the water and bit the fish and his hand. Dan Carlin was pulled overboard along with the fish and dragged 20 feet underwater. He was released seconds later and as he swam to the surface the sea lion bit at his foot. He was later taken to the hospital where he received 20 stitches in his hand. Carlin said he hoped to be able to start fishing again next week even after his experience.

Unfortunately, Yeah this topic is about ISIS

Slavery, its been a blight on this country for as long as anyone can remember. Although the United States may outlaw slavery certain groups such as ISIS take slaves for their own pleasure. If your a women and thinking about traveling DO NOT GO TO IRAQ, ISIS has been taking women  as sex slaves and abusing them, already there have been many reports from escaped "slaves" about the immoral and disgusting practices of ISIS. I couldn't ignore this considering the fact that even though there are stories about ISIS all over the place this particular one just disgusts me to the point of me wanting to throw up. Heres the usual routine for capture towns and villages, for the men: Convert to islam or die, for the women they had no choice. As soon as they are taken prisoner the women are separated from their families to be sold as sex slaves to ISIS fighters. ISIS has even gone as far to put up guidelines on how to treat and use their women slaves.

A woman named Hanan(Not her real name out of concern for her family members still held by ISIS) was taken as a sex slave and thrown into a warehouse with 50 other women, all of the female occupants were beaten regularly, threatened with torture, and fed one bowl of rice a day. After a while they where taken to a three story house that she claimed held hundreds of women and girls(Some no older than 9) waiting to be sold as slaves to ISIS fighters"They would line about 50 of us up at a time, in rows of 10. They would say don't move, don't cry or we will beat you. The men would come in and describe the kind of girl they wanted and then they would pick and choose as they pleased," she recalls. After being sold she was put into a room with 25 other girls and were then told to clean themselves. Afterwords the ISIS militants brought in a girl who had been with them for two months and she told the others what had been done to her "They beat me, they cuffed me, and then they raped me"

This is just sickening and a reason why ISIS needs to be stopped and although all the stories about ISIS are getting annoying it doesn't mean they should be ignored this is more than enough proof of it, if you want to read more heres the link:

A Not So Sad Story

Recently all the talk in the world lately has been about ISIS and it being pushed back, or about it gaining ground but thats not what I'm going to talk about today. Today I'm going to be talking about a gray whale that swam 14,000 miles from Russia to Mexico. Not only did this break the world record of 10,190 mile trip of a different gray whale. Although its good to see whales alive and well theres a sad part to this story as well but I'll leave it up to you to decide if its sad or not. The whales name is Varvara and was originally thought to be a western whale, the western whale is an endangered species. About 150 are estimated to still be alive today, however with the discovery of were Varvara may have originated from its thought that some of the western whales tracked might actually be eastern gray whales.

Intro

This blog will be about occurrences around the world, and explain them to the best of my ability. Topics will range from everything about endangered species to terrorist attacks in far away countries. As many have known of Venice sinking steadily over the years and a plan in place to fix it is 5 billion over budget and 10 years behind schedule due to the greed of many high ranking government officials. I won't be able to cover everything keep in mind but I'll cover stories the best that I can here from a computer away from it all. The irony in that is not lost on me but all in all I hope I can share these things with everyone.
